Billed as the largest youth event in the world, World Youth Day’08 is a five-day long international Catholic youth rally, where young people gather to meet Pope Benedict XVI. It begins in Sydney on Tuesday July 15 and ends with a Mass said by Benedict XVI on Sunday July 2008. The event was finished with the pope thanking volunteers at the Domain. Bulters Hire supplied the 18m Dome as the main stage for the week events. During the week several WYD events took place and Butlers Events & Staging made adjustments to accommodate such as, removing the roof fabric and extending the stage with treads and red carpet finish to suit the changing needs.
